Daily Step 1 practice

A short Step 1 case for the days that get busy.

Keep a little clinical reasoning in your day. Rounds gives medical students one free daily case—the same for everyone—that takes about two minutes. Rounds Pro unlocks 500+ First Aid–aligned cases when you want to keep going.

Step 1 case practice for medical students

The format

One case. A few useful minutes.

01

Open the daily case

Start with a focused clinical case instead of planning another long study block. The daily case is free.

02

Work through up to 5 hints

Reveal clinical details progressively—you get up to 5 hints and 5 guesses to name the diagnosis.

03

Make your call, then review

Commit to a diagnosis and use the explanation to reinforce the pattern you want to remember. Keep your daily streak going.

A study companion, not a replacement

A small daily rep that fits around your main study plan

A daily case is not a replacement for a full question bank block. It is a lighter way to revisit clinical patterns when you have a few minutes between classes, after a study session, or on a busy day. Play it on iOS or in your browser at getrounds.app/app.

Common questions

A few quick answers

How does scoring work?

You start with 500 points. Each wrong guess costs 100 points, and each extra hint revealed costs 50 points. Play daily to build a streak.

Is the daily case free?

Yes. The daily case is free. Rounds Pro (a subscription) unlocks unlimited practice: random cases, browsing the full case library, Study Plan, streak freeze, deeper differential-diagnosis and illness-script libraries, and more Connections puzzles.

Does Rounds replace a Step 1 question bank?

No. Rounds is a separate way to practice recognizing diagnoses from clinical clues. Keep using your question bank for full-length exam-style questions.

Can I play in a browser?

Yes. The web companion at getrounds.app/app lets you play the daily case in a browser. Your progress syncs with the iOS app.
